Survival Guide for the Holiday Season | Post Party Recovery

‘Tis the season to enjoy time with friends and family, along with decadent meals, several desserts and a few (or multiple?) glasses of wine. As fun as the lush times are, our bodies need some TLC after.

Post party recovery:

  • First thing, let’s clear your lungs.  Take some good clean deep breaths, exhale completely and repeat 2-3 times.  This will get the blood moving and help clear the head and lungs

  • Second, a big glass of water.  If you want add some lemon juices.  It will be refreshing and give your liver some welcomed support.

  • Have a healthy light breakfast – fruit, veggies, a smoothie, oatmeal, bone broth.  Something easy to digest and won’t cause you to feel heavy. Your digestion will need a little bit break this morning to catch up with all fun we had last night.

  • Keep hydrated throughout the day.  Don’t forget to drink that 2 litres of water we need and today you’ll need it more than ever.

  • If you still fell tired and need a kick, try some cold pressed red beet juice.  Gives a great energy boost, sustained energy and much longer than coffee can give without the crash.  If you add a tablespoon of coconut oil or manna, your brain will thank you. I do this and it keeps me going all day.
